Abstract

BACKES, José Licínio  and  PAVAN, Ruth. Epistemology of curriculum studies: differences and identities. Educ. Real. [online]. 2011, vol.36, n.02, pp.465-483. ISSN 0100-3143.

This article analyzes papers approved for presentation in the Curriculum GT in ANPED from 2005 to 2009, and investigates their epistemologies, considering the concepts of difference and identity. The analysis has shown the presence of two trends: epistemology of pure difference, whose authors develop their reflections about curriculum without considering identities, using a language of becoming, plurality, escaping; epistemology of DIFFERENCE/identity: their authors argue that identities are built in relation to differences, but this is not a linear, one-dimension, vertical relationship; rather, it is a hybrid, contingent, sliding one.

Keywords : Epistemology; Identity; Difference; Curriculum Studies.
