Abstract

SANTOS, Gilberto Lacerda. A longitudinal research about teachers and computers. Educ. Real. [online]. 2011, vol.36, n.03, pp.837-848. ISSN 0100-3143.

The article is an account on a longitudinal research which was carried out along the period of seven years. This research was based on six master’s degrees dissertations on the use of computer in education, which were written by teachers from the Federal District (FD) Public Schools. Here are the questions the mentioned dissertations based on: how can teachers use computers to produce their own didactic material? How can they choose computer devices to support their tasks? What is the impact of computers in the organization of their pedagogic work? The findings allowed the preparation of a series of recommendations for teacher training considering the use of computers in education as a school relevant condition, as an object of investigation, and a way to challenge teaching.
