Abstract

MARIANAYAGAM, Carla Angelica Sella  and  VIRIATO, Edaguimar Orquizas. The implementation of music content from the perspective of art teachers in Cascavel Municipal Schools, Paraná. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2014, vol.39, n.1, pp.1-18. ISSN 0101-7136.  https://doi.org/10.5216/ia.v39i1.26897.

This article presents the results of a research conducted in municipal schools in Cascavel, Paraná, on the implementation of Federal Law 11.769/08, which deals with the compulsory teaching of Music as a curriculum component of Art in elementary schools. It also reflects on the representations of teachers on the school reality in relation to the implementation of Music Education. Among other things, the study pointed out the intermittent and fragmented formation of the teacher, which has resulted in spontaneity in teaching, and the sidelining of the subject of Art by the Municipal Education Bureau.

Keywords : Educational Policies; Elementary Education; Music Education; Law 11.769/08.
