Abstract

SANTOS FILHO, Alexandre Silva dos. Formation in art education: a possible dialogue. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2014, vol.39, n.1, pp.145-162. ISSN 0101-7136.  https://doi.org/10.5216/ia.v39i1.27187.

This study is a critical reflection on teacher formation in art education at Marabá Campus - Universidade Federal do Sul e Sudeste do Pará. Since there is no degree course in the field of art, teachers often have to improvise in the classroom. The study highlights certain methods relevant to the practice of art in the school: the potential space, the meaning of art as experience, the formation of the aesthetic person, and the implications of the concept of resilience for teacher formation in art education. It points out that the unfolding of the teachers' bond with the art world involves doing, feeling and appreciating from the historico-cultural and social context in which they live.

Keywords : Art Education; Potential Space; Art Teacher; Resilience.
