Abstract

CRUZ, Cristiane  and  BORGES, Sonia. Knowing and knowledge: psychoanalysis in the school. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2014, vol.39, n.3, pp.651-663. ISSN 0101-7136.  https://doi.org/10.5216/ia.v39i3.33459.

This article reflects on the functions of the "desire to know" in the acquisition of the knowledge which the school transmits to children. Admitting the presence of the dynamics of desire and its effects on the relationship between the subject and schooling brings the contribution of psychoanalysis into this study, that is, the recognition of unconscious determinants in this process.

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; School; Childhood Education; Knowledge Acquistion; Desire to Know.
