Abstract

ZUMANO HERNANDEZ, Fermín. The Blindness of Tiresias: notes for an apology of the foucauldian teacher. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2015, vol.40, n.1, pp.19-35. ISSN 0101-7136.  https://doi.org/10.0104/interacao.2015.401.02.

This paper deals with an epistemological analysis of the genesis of social institutions in Modernity. It then proposes an on-line inquiry into the contradictions inherent to the epistemological discourse itself, and within the context of Foucault‟s analysis of power relationships and institutionalization, proceeds towards the possibility of establishing a genealogy of knowledge, diversity of knowledge, and the conflict of knowledge. The ultimate aim of my text is to understand the school as the place where the conflict of knowledge reaches its highest expression.

Keywords : Modernity; Knowledge; Social Institution; Institution.
