Abstract

LEITE, Cláudia Aparecida de Oliveira. Discovering names: one's own in childhood and in school. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2015, vol.40, n.1, pp.151-159. ISSN 0101-7136.  https://doi.org/10.0104/interacao.2015.401.10.

The psychoanalytic perspective is a central theoretical investigative line in this article, where the construction of one's name in childhood is discussed. Thus, we consider the impact of language and of the relational link as the privileged operators in subjective constitution, as the human baby is overwhelmed by the language which precedes and surrounds them. In this immersion, the child inherits a name from another and is called on to respond by that name. However, making this name their own requires a solidary movement which corresponds to the recognition of one's own body. Such operators are established by the mark of a subjective initium, which is a first step for the constitution of the subject. On considering these factors, we intend to establish a dialogue with the field of education since the school plays a mediating role in this process, which for each child, authenticates the conquest of their own name.
