Abstract

SANTIBANEZ, Dione Antonio Carvalho de Souza; FRATTARI, Najla Franco  and  OLIVEIRA, Dijaci David. Narrative of fear and criminalization of the youth: punitive speech against offender adolescent of the law. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2015, vol.40, n.2, pp.305-323. In this article we will discuss the subject of reduction of criminal responsibility age. For this study we will review the data about adolescent participation in criminal practice in the State of Goias in the years 2012 and 2013. The aim is to confront the concrete participation of adolescents with social narratives and political propositions in favor of reducing the age of responsibility. From the reading of the data we can observe a strong discrepancy between the narratives that links the criminal potential of teens and the real data. The discussion results from the dialogue articulated between the results of two surveys: 1) Survey of the Socio- educational Municipal System in Goiânia; and, 2) Urban Violence in the State of Goiás.

Keywords : Criminal Responsibility Age; Adolescence; Criminalization of Youth.
