Abstract

SALGADO, Mara  and  VAZ, Alexandre Fernandez. Webs of female artificers: what those hands imagine?. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2015, vol.40, n.3, pp.515-535. ISSN 0101-7136.  https://doi.org/10.5216/ia.v40i3.36294.

This paper aims to reflect on women's education process, taking the body of female artificers as a central category to relations with nature and between thought and work of his hands. The conceptual aspects of the research are supported by contributions of Theodor W. Adorno, Max Horkheimer, Herbert Marcuse and Sigmund Freud. As an exemplary model of formative dimension of woman's body in the context of handwork, the paper takes up in empirical data produced in a survey with handcraft. The link between distracted body and distracted thinking, whose results are the reification process, updates the love-hate relationship with the first one. However, the naturalization of working time contains the promise of a new women's role in the domestic sphere.
