Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Renan Dias. The Movement of Semi-Earth workers and emancipatory education in times of socio-environmental crisis. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2017, vol.42, n.2, pp.311-324. ISSN 1981-1802.  https://doi.org/10.5216/ia.v42i2.46120.

Since its inception, the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) has given special attention to the pedagogical spaces in its dynamics of action. An important training site for the MST is the Florestan Fernandes National School (ENFF), which has existed since 2005 in the city of Guararema-SP. The objective of this work was to investigate the courses offered in the ENFF in a five-year time frame (2011-2015), using the participant observation method in order to understand the reading that the MST does at this time of socio-environmental crisis, and, consequently, his proposal of educational training focused on broad issues of students’ lives and also to the world of work. It was concluded that the MST has structured courses with this specific theme and designed new courses for the next years.
