Abstract

NASCIMENTO, Telma Regina Batista. Gender socialization in families of female workers on rural Sisal environment: the challenge of rupture. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2017, vol.42, n.2, pp.413-428. ISSN 1981-1802.  https://doi.org/10.5216/ia.v42i2.46103.

The article aims to analyze the aspects related to patriarchal power issues in the context of the socialization of gender within the family. The production took as reference authors such as Bourdieu (2005); Saffioti (2004); Traverso-Yepez and Pinheiro (2005); Castro (2011, 2014); Salvaro and Wolf (2013); Ferreira (2016); Maciezeki- Gomes and Nogueira (2016); Freire (1987), among others. The method used was the bibliographical review, based on sociology, taking as reference articles and books. As this is an ongoing study, the partial conclusions show that in the face of the apparent predominance of patriarchal traits in the rural Sisal Territory, it is necessary to invest in education as an alternative to the political subversion of gender socialization in this predominant context.
