This text proposes the reflections on the contributions of the movement of occupation of public schools, occurred in the years of 2015 and 2016 in Brazil, for the formation of the students. For that, based on bibliographical research, the educational dimensions of the social movements are presented with a view to training in and for life, evidencing the educational character of the occupations of schools. Based on the analysis of the organization of occupations, in comparison with the bibliography, it is possible to conclude that the movement of occupation of schools contributed to the production of revolutionary knowledge essential for human emancipation.
