Abstract

MASETTO, Marcos T.. O processo ensino-aprendizagem no curso de medicina. Rev. Fac. Educ. [online]. 1985, vol.11, n.1-2, pp.85-91. ISSN 0102-2555.

Abstract: This article aims at discussing three aspects frequently found in courses of Medicine: the emphasis on the development of research and the practical work of assistence to patients, as opposed to less emphasis on the teaching of science as such; the absence of teaching practice in the curriculum of the medical teachers; a dichotomy of the work of students and teachers, each responsible for different aspects. The following items will be discussed: in the teaching-learning process the student is the agent of the process not only as a future professional, but as a global person whose personality is still in formation. This learned learns during the interation with this teacher, his colleagues, with the research developed, with the patients and with the society; the features of significative learning are discussed and end up by asking what the role of the teacher is.

Keywords : Learning; Significative Learning; Teacher-Student Relationship; Interation; Teacher's Role.
