The topic of “psychoanalysis and education” has been studies by several Brazilian authors whose aim was to disseminate Freud’s ideas. Among them, the name of Arthur Ramos merits attention due to the publication of Educação e Psicanálise and A Criança Problema. Based on Freud, Adler and Jung’s ideas, the author within the pedagogical context of the “New School” delineated several ideas that contributed to the introduction of a new view for the “understanding” of the questions related to the maladjusted behavior of the child.
