Abstract

PILETTI, Nelson. Evolução do currículo do curso secundário no Brasil. Rev. Fac. Educ. [online]. 1987, vol.13, n.2, pp.27-72. ISSN 0102-2555.

The article analyses the history of secondary school curriculum in Brazil until the law 4024/61, showing the following trends: 1º) the growth of relative participation of sciences and mathematics areas; 2º) diminution of hours for humanities, specially for the study of languages such as Latin, Greek, German, Spanish and Italian, little, eliminated from the curriculum; 3º) formal evolution of propedeutical objectives to formative purpose; 4º) movement into a seriate, regular and articulated course; 5º) curricular flexibility with growth of responsibility of each teaching system in the organization of secondary courses; 6º) search of formal equity between the secondary course and the technic-vocational training, finally attained with the law 4024/61.
