This text is a diacronic point of view of the “vestibular” examinations policy. It presents an analysis of the literature questions of the “FUVEST” during an eight year period, evaluating the kind of knowledge requested and its implications in the secondary school. Finally, the text discusses about the expectation of the students and their teachers about “vestibular”, showing how much this expectation fails because of political and social injunctions.
