Resumen

NICOLAU, Marieta Lúcia Machado. Um estudo das potencialidades e habilidades no nível da pré-escolaridade e sua possível interferência na concepção que a criança constrói sobre a escrita. Rev. Fac. Educ. [online]. 1997, vol.23, n.01-02, pp.00-00. ISSN 0102-2555.

This work is part of a research carried out in 1992 with eight children -- two children of four years old, three of five and three of six -- in the Central Day Nursey of the University of São Paulo. In this article, the results obtained with the children of six years old: are related; they showed emphasis on oral language, story development conceptions about writing, written productions and results on the ABC Test. Individual interviews were developed, always giving special attention to the justifications given by the children. We draw the following conclusions: social class is not sufficient to positively or negatively explain children’s performance. Self esteem level, socialization conditions, age, educational work in nursey, all these factors interacting are responsible for children’s performance.

Palabras clave : Child Development; Oral Language; Story Development; Written Productions and Nominal Realism.
