Having the Mark of a historical investigation, this research is aimed at preserving memory in Belo Horizonte, inquiring into the daily routine of a female Catholic school in the sense of recovering its pedagogical practice and revealing the female ideals which guided the woman’s upbringing in the past. To attain these objective two methodological approaches were used: Interviews and a phase of collection-analysis of documents-newspapers of the past, photos, magazines, former students’ notebooks, written records of school meetings, etc. This research allows a more comprehensive understanding of Education from the viewpoint of gender relationships.
