The author aims at revealing the decline of the culture considering how the Cultural Industry generates a king of semi-clarification that paralyzes and destroys people´s capacity for critical and reflexive thought. Taking as standpoint their formative aspect (bildung and hallbildung), the author examines the history of the term Cultural Industry, according to T. W. Adorno, as an ideological superstructure and a mechanism for manipulation of people’s consciousness.
