The first National Adult Education Campaign in Brazil (1947/1963) was an important mark in the process for the constitution of the theoretical practice field of the area. This text aims to rebuild, from the interviews done, the contact with primary and research sources about the subject, what was the Adult Education Campaign in Minas Gerais. In this, we demonstrate that several conceptions related to the adult education were on between the beginning of the Campaign and the 1964 Coup D’état. These conceptions vary because of different facts, associated to the political, cultural and social economical changes that happened in different moments.
