Resumen

Famílias populares e escola pública: uma relação dissonante. Educ. Rev. [online]. 2004, n.39, pp.41-60. ISSN 0102-4698.

This article analyses the logicals, as well as the elements in which they are based on, that structure the values and attitudes of lower class families toward the school and the studying of their children in the context of the beginning of Plural School Program, public from Belo Horizonte City since 1995. The collected data in Belo Horizonte families show several common traces in their testemonies which give emphasis to the hyphotesis related to the existence of some common values in lower class families, that organize their attitudes toward the school and the studying of their children.
