PERINELLI NETO, Humberto  and  PAZIANI, Rodrigo Ribeiro. CINEMA, HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY TEACHING PRACTICE AND TEACHER TRAINING: SHORT FILM'S PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE AND CASE STUDIES. Educ. Rev. [online]. 2015, vol.31, n.4, pp.279-304. ISSN 1982-6621.  https://doi.org/10.1590/0102-4698136609.

The importance achieved by film keeps close connection with the transformation of the human eye and the way to meet modernity. The ability to provoke wonder and to intervene in the construction of the worldview has generated the development of film use experiences in education. In this paper we intend to articulate the cinematic language with teacher training and History and Geography teaching practices in undergraduate courses. Some of the fundamental problems of education are related to the uses of audiovisual technologies and languages and how to mobilize and build new knowledge amid the formative processes of the students. Our reflections, based on Paulo Freire's dialogic education, will be focused on the possibilities of building new knowledge and experiences through experiments involving the production of videos/short films, highlighting two cases occurred in the northwest region of São Paulo.
