Abstract

PANIAGO, Rosenilde Nogueira; SARMENTO, TERESA  and  ROCHA, SIMONE ALBUQUERQUE DA. PIBID AND INSERTION IN TEACHING: EXPERIENCES, POSSIBILITIES AND DILEMMAS. Educ. Rev. [online]. 2018, vol.34, e190935.  Epub Sep 20, 2018. ISSN 1982-6621.  https://doi.org/10.1590/0102-4698190935.

This article results from a research investigating the contribution of the Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching Scholarship (PIBID) for teaching formation for the early years of education. From a qualitative approach, we collected data in documental sources and in oral narratives of nine students of Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry courses and of three teachers from the institution that was locus of this research. The results indicate that the PIBID has contributed significantly to the teaching of the trainees because it stimulates immersion in diverse activities of teaching formation and initiation to research. However, vulnerabilities were observed, such as the absence of effective practices of the trainees with students of basic education, lack of pedagogical formation of the trainers and inexperience with research and teaching in basic education.

Keywords : Teacher formation; PIBID; Teaching apprenticeship.
