The article discusses, through genealogical research, the emergence of adolescents in conflict with the law. Seeking the emergence of adolescents in conflict with the law means to seek and describe the set of forces that, from a certain event, allowed the establishment of a new configuration between knowledge and practices on the bodies of adolescents. We argue that the adolescent in conflict with the law is a character that emerges with the Statute of Children and Adolescents, being produced by socio-educational measures, understood as a set of biopolitical techniques that articulate technologies of domination and technologies of themselves, within the framework of a neoliberal governmentality. In this way, it intends to contribute to the criticism of the present through the historical retreat in order to observe if the adolescent in conflict with the law presents itself as a rupture in the field of knowledge, institutional practices and the meaning of this rupture.
