Abstract

SOUSA, Janice Tirelli Ponte de. Young anticapitalists and the resignification of collective struggles. Perspectiva [online]. 2004, vol.22, n.02, pp.451-470. ISSN 0102-5473.

This article analyzes the constitution of a contemporary political culture based on one of the political subjects that has given visibility to collective action in this field - young anticapitalist militants. The focus on youth steers us to a sociological perspective that seeks to identify explanatory elements that consider contemporary political activity aimed at social transformation, especially since 1960, and that help to identify the new meanings contained in protest demonstrations and confrontations against the social order in times of globalization.

Keywords : Political Culture; Collective Movements; Anticapitalists.
