This text reflects on the mediation of new technologies in the processes of inclusion and exclusion of deaf alterities in School and in society. Based in a broad discussion of the advances of science and of technology in recent decades, and of the consequent reconfiguration of the places of inclusion and exclusion, the article also discusses the paradigm of complexity as a possible instrument for considering the objects of the study in the field of deaf education.
