Abstract

BISSOLI, Michelle de Freitas. For an education for oneself: some reflections on pedagogic work. Perspectiva [online]. 2007, vol.25, n.02, pp.343-368. ISSN 0102-5473.

The objective of this article is to reflect on the elements that configure what we customarily denominate an education for oneself. It indicates the importance of intentional and systematized pedagogical work, capable of contributing to the broad development of the child in preschool and the initial years of Elementary School, discussing some principles fundamental to the teaching activity. Based on a Historic-Cultural perspective, for which human development is the result of the educational process that is configured in social relations, the paper reflects on the specificities of school education, seeking to elucidate how education for oneself interacts with the daily and nondaily realms of social activity.

Keywords : Education for Oneself; Pedagogic Work; Historical Cultural Theory.
