Abstract

PINA BARTOLOME, Antonio. De la web 2.0 al elearning 2.0. Perspectiva [online]. 2012, vol.30, n.01, pp.131-153. ISSN 0102-5473.

Web 2.0 provides a second opportunity to introduce multimedia materials and resources in Educational systems. This text analyzes options offered for multimedia environments in Latin American education and why Web 2.0 is a new opportunity. Since 2004, the term web 2.0 has created a revolution at Internet sites and generated new educational ideas identified as “eLearning 2.0”. Given the ambiguity of both terms, it can be said that we are facing a new paradigm for distance education reinforced by the technology, but it appears that some ideas can lead to changes in fundamental factors in the curriculum such as: the network as a platform, the multi-systems device or changes in the concept of studying in any place at any time. Collective intelligence and the rich experience of the user affects the concept of authority of educational systems, tags and RSS and readers reconsider the traditional taxonomies and forms of organization of knowledge and information recovery.
