Resumen

RAJLAND, Beatriz. Estado, emancipación y educación: una aproximación desde el pensamiento marxista. Perspectiva [online]. 2013, vol.31, n.01, pp.45-66. ISSN 0102-5473.

This article reflects on the state, education and emancipation. We emphasize that the traditional view considers the state as an autonomous subject and attributes individual power to institutions, and agencies and that this affirmation is an ideological construction of the state. We also show that the state is a product of society. As a class state it ensures the reproduction of the mode of production of a society, although it is also a place of class struggle, a place of dispute. Given this reality, political action is necessary because a counter hegemony must be constructed and education is one of the important instruments for this goal. Educational courses that have a Marxist perspective must focus on an analysis of current capitalism, because to be able to produce a revolutionary break it is essential to understand current society. For this reason it is vitally important to be clear about the opportunity for a revolutionary rupture and the possibility for building a new society. Therefore, a discussion about education and knowledge are indispensable for discussing emancipation based on Marxist thought.
