In this theoretical reflection article, firstly the professional profile of the kindergarten , primary and secondary teachers is presented concerning to the History teaching. The results of questionnaires administered to teachers by the organs of the Spanish State Administration are compared with the conclusions of some of the latest work by research teams from Spanish universities. In the second part of this article it is shown the deficit of historical knowledge of the students of Kindergarten and Primary Degree from the University of Murcia (UMU), from the first results of the research, which began in 2013, by the research group in teaching Social Sciences (UMU). This is a qualitative research on the previous ideas of students about the important events in the history of Spain, held from questionnaires with semi-structured and open questions for the students. The conclusions of these investigations suggest that some weaknesses in academic training of teachers a decade ago, still persist today .For this reason, in the last part of this work it focuses on more weight due to take the teaching of social sciences in teacher training that will give history in different educational levels.
