MELLO, Suely Amaral  y  BISSOLI, Michelle de Freitas. Cultural - Historical Theory assumptons and the appropriation of written language. Perspectiva [online]. 2015, vol.33, n.1, pp.135-160. ISSN 2175-795X.  https://doi.org/10.5007/2175-795X.2015v33n1p135.

This article aims to bring to discussion some assumptions of Historical-Cultural Theory in order to support teachers' practices that approach children in kindergarten and in early years of elementary school to writing language. Building on researches conducted by Vygotsky and Luria, to who the written language is a complex cultural instrument that IS developed during ontogenesis from gesture, play and drawing, this article aims to reflect on problems involving school practices that, despite the efforts required from children, have not contributed to the formation of their ability to read and produce texts. It also presents directions to enrich children's experiences and different forms of expression as pedagogical possibilities that may contribute to the development of the child.

Palabras clave : Written Language; Socio-Cultural-Historical Theory; School Education.
