SOUZA, Helga Valéria de Lima  e  LOPES, Carlos. The youth in YAE mode: from "all good" to the role of Information digital echnologies, communication and expression. Perspectiva [online]. 2018, vol.36, n.2, pp.687-700.  Epub 24-Jul-2019. ISSN 2175-795X.  https://doi.org/10.5007/2175-795x.2018v36n2p687.

Based on the observation of the phenomenon of juvenilization in Youth and Adult Education (EJA) classes, a research was carried to allow for the discursive manifestation of these young people, presenting their self-definition as young people or adults and the role of Digital Technologies of Information, Communication and Expression – TDICE. Concerning the young EJA student’s profile, we dialogued with Oliveira (1999), Mello (2009) and Dayrell, Nogueira and Miranda (2011). For a better understanding of the TDICE’s role, we were based on Alava (2002). Individual and group interviews were undertaken (GASKELL, 2004) with the participation of nine students from a public school. The results indicated that the interviewees classified themselves as young people, with “all good” as the main criterion. The adults are referred to as those who have "pendent issues”, that is, they need to pay bills and work for their own and the family’s livelihood. They attribute and use TDICE for communication, social insertion, diversion and diversified research, however, with no focus on school content. The guiding aspect for learners to define themselves as young, young-adult or adult, has as criteria the vision, positioning and discourses offered by their families, either direct or indirect, in the social interaction process.
