This work aims to raise discussions about the relation amongst the Brazilian State amendment, the improvement made on public administration and its connections with the Brazilian Educational amendment from the decade of 1990, taking under consideration the impact of these referrals and their unfolding in the school management model outlined for public schools. The article assumes a critical perspective regarding the historical, political and economic conditions in which the Educational Reform took place in Brazil. In the first part, it was suggested a reflection regarding the geopolitical scenario of the economies modernization according to managerial perspective at a global level. In the second part, it was made a connection of this macro historical context at a national level and it was noticed some influence on public policies oriented for the modernization of the State and Public Management in Brazil. In the third and final part, it was discussed the connections between the State Amendment and the Brazilian Educational Amendment.
