Nowadays “Lebenswelt” must be considered as a mediatic environment or simply a medium, a continent/device inhabited by new digital technology that makes the fabric of the world, on the whole, a communication source. The article specifically examins the virtual body/environment, an aspect of Lebenswelt, which has still to reach its full potential, but will increasingly continue to influence our lifestyle. The virtual body/environment is a new entity immersive and interactive, ontologically hybrid because it is internal and external, and both a thing and an image. The article focuses on same forms of art that allow the possibility to live the virtual body/environment in a non passive way.
