This article aims to give visibility for emblematic issues around of childhoods lived in the institutional space daycare. Images and conceptions of childhood and children are raised, in order to discuss why and how even today we have so much trouble to guarantee to children what has been bestowed so on long ago in Law − the right to participate. Anchored in the conceptual and methodological support of the Sociology of childhood, uses ethnographic procedures to capture the different expressive forms and modes of living children in the nursery. Assuming that children are social agents, discusses how mute practices and therefore invisibility than children say, do, play, feel, think, are still engendered in educational institutions teaching.
