This study aimed to investigate the contribution of supervised stage for the construction of identity and knowledge of the teaching profession, from the narrated expectations for six students of courses for nursery school and first school level, the University of Minho, Portugal, and Undergraduate courses in Chemistry and Biology of the Federal Institute Goiano, Brazil. From the narratives was found that the students have in common the desire to be teachers and consider the stage as a teaching learning space. It was evident also that the University of Minho has, more significantly, the stage as formative field of knowledge and learning of teaching.
