This paper analyse the psychogenetic evolution of writings from children in the public school of Elementary education in Rio Grande do Norte, with reference to the research of Emilia Ferreiro and fellow workers. The gathering of oriented writings was based on The Inquiry Method, adapted from the clinical method of Piaget.The research corpus containsessential writings within a finite collection of productions, built up over 20 years of research on the psychogenic production of writings by children in the process of literacy.In the results of this paper, the characterization of conceptualization levels of written language stands out, the hypothesis built and its illustrations to the writings produced by the research subjects.
