Abstract

THIESEN, Juares da Silva. Cosmopolitan as a foundation and utopia in the movements for the internationalization of the curriculum. Rev. Educ. Questão [online]. 2018, vol.56, n.49, pp.85-110. ISSN 1981-1802.  https://doi.org/10.21680/1981-1802.2018v56n49ID13779.

In the paper, we explores the problem of the internationalization of the curriculum, with special attention to the idea of cosmopolitanism, a concept that often has been composing the set of arguments of researchers in the explication of the dynamics that make up this global movement that involves education. We analyze, in particularly, how authors who discuss the problem above situate and understand cosmopolitanism in this educational-political project in terms of theoretical approach and, in this context, it is highlighted how these different epistemic and political approaches move in the contexts of contemporary pedagogical and curriculum thinking. Finally, we highlight the main focus or approaches attributed to the concept of cosmopolitanism in the context of the internationalization of the curriculum problem - an expression of a less consensual theme. It is, therefore, a study of a theoretical nature that uses other conceptual categories to explore a specific object of knowledge - in this case, cosmopolitanism.
