This article has the objective of analyzing the performance of the students of Mathematics courses − bachelor's degree in education (B. Ed.) and bachelor's degree − of the Federal University of Goiás, Goiânia Regional, that entered in 2014, during the regular period for completion of the course, which is eight semesters long. For that, we did a documentary research, with consultation to the students' school records. Based on the data obtained, we made an analysis of three main indicators: global average, performance in the specific subjects of each modality, and performance in the four disciplines with the lowest academic performance. In addition, we carried out a bibliographical research, especially on success, school failure and repeat disciplines, which meant as a subsidy for data analysis. As a result, this study showed a higher performance of bachelor's degree students, who, even having decreased their overall average during the course, presented higher results than those of bachelor's degree in education (B. Ed.) students in most of the analyzed period.
