The goal of the present study is to show the experience of psychological and pedagogical approach to the work with solution of mathematic problems in primary school. The study is based on activity theory applied to the process of teaching and learning. The study was fulfilled with the pupils of the second school grade of a private school in the city of Puebla (Mexico). The methodology of formative experiment was used in the study. The results show that, after participation in the process of learning and formation, the school children became able to identify the elements and the data and all relations between them in order to obtain the solution of the problems. We conclude that the usage of orientation is essential for development of analysis of the problems considering essential relations between the elements of the content of the problems.
