Abstract

SOUSA, Cristiane Lopes de  and  ARAUJO, Ronaldo Marcos de Lima. The Victor Civita Foundation and the network of public and private entities in education. Rev. Educ. Questão [online]. 2021, vol.59, n.59, e-23300.  Epub Apr 18, 2022. ISSN 1981-1802.  https://doi.org/10.21680/1981-1802.2021v59n59id23300.

In this article, we made a study about the articulation of several private and public entities with the Victor Civita Foundation, which are expressed through the analysis of the Educational Studies & Research Editorials. The objective is to analyze the relationship between private entities and the Victor Civita Foundation in the educational field. We used the foundations of dialectical historica materialism as a theoretical and methodological basis according to Kosik (1976) and Kopnin (1993). We defend the thesis of the existence of a network of private entities that articulate themselves to the Victor Civita Foundation through research editorials, in order to make studies that ratify the content of the Brazilian elite organic project of domination, which aims at the maintenance of existing inequalities. We found, through the analysis of tensions and contradictions, that the Victor Civita Foundation, in articulation with a network composed mainly of private entities – in addition to universities, research groups, and municipal and state education departments –, operate in education with the objective of strengthening the private education project and exacerbating inequalities.

Keywords : Victor Civita Foundation; Public-private relationship; Brazilian entrepreneurship; Education.
