CORREA, Marcos Britto  e  FERREIRA, Liliana Soares. The illiterate philosopher against the “clothed soul” of academic alienation. Rev. Educ. Questão [online]. 2021, vol.59, n.60, e-25121.  Epub 19-Abr-2022. ISSN 1981-1802.  https://doi.org/10.21680/1981-1802.2021v59n60id25121.

In the allegorical articulation between Álvaro Vieira Pinto's “illiterate philoso-pher” and Fernando Pessoa's “clothed soul”, as an expression of alienation, the study on the curricular matrix of eight Philosophy courses at Federal Univer-sities in the Southern Region of Brazil is systematized. The study was oriented by materialistic dialectical analysis, implying the approximation with the phenom-enon, production of data analysis and synthesis. The documents represent the conditioning factor that expresses Philosophy as a hegemonic product of the European continent, being a kind of demonstration of the “clothed soul” that makes Brazilian students averse to knowing their reality. Throughout the text, arguments in favor of criticism are presented, based on the totality in which the country is inserted. In this sense, Philosophy is strengthened against academic alienation, based, therefore, on the intention of knowing and producing the resolution of concrete problems of the people of which the Philosophy student is a part.
