Abstract

ARRUDA, Marina Patrício de; VIEIRA, Rui Marques  and  ROSA, Geraldo Antônio da. Welcoming teachers: reflective interfaces of the post-doctoral stage in Portugal. Rev. Educ. Questão [online]. 2021, vol.59, n.61, e-26502.  Epub Apr 19, 2022. ISSN 1981-1802.  https://doi.org/10.21680/1981-1802.2021v59n61id26502.

This paper presents a case study that aimed to know the meaning attributed to the term welcoming teacher and methodological teaching strategies related to it. The methodology used was a case study that hosted reflections for the innovation of the act of educating teachers/researchers. We concluded in the reflective interfaces of a post-doctoral internship that methodological teaching strategies related to the welcoming teacher encourage autonomy and listening that could revolutionize educational systems. The welcoming teacher, unlike the authoritarian teacher, adopts humanized practices that include going outside their disciplines to dialogue with other fields of knowledge, welcoming emotions, and giving their students the right to be the protagonists of their own development.

Keywords : Welcoming teachers; Methodological teaching strategies; Autonomy; Listening.
