The last decades have been undergoing far-reaching structural changes including the education system. Due to globalization, national states have been restructured changing from a bureaucratic to an entrepreneurial administration. This change has been justified as a way to speed up educational services which have so far proved slow and inefficient. Educational policies have since established reforms and created new regulations that allow both national and local education systems to undergo the necessary changes. The focus of this study is to analyze educational policies and regulations resulting from these changes based on a documental/bibliographical survey carried out to identify the relations between the state reform, the educational trends envisaged through the policies, and the new regulations concerning educational background and faculty work.
