Investing in teacher education is one of the goals of the National Education Plan - Decade 2011-2020. However, the question is: How are graduates of teaching training courses doing in the job market? Are they satisfied with their current jobs? Are they working in their area of training? Are there differences between Prouni graduates from teacher training courses and others from regular undergraduate courses? The purpose of this paper is to show a small comparative study between Prouni graduates from teacher training courses and from regular undergraduate courses. We used a quantitative method and a descriptive and inferential-analytical technique. Among the results presented we highlight the need for studies in a larger context so as to better understand the relationships of these graduates in the job market, involving aspects related with their academic training, with their current job, with the pay they receive and the satisfaction they derive in relation to their work.
