The purpose of this study is to identify and understand, based on a comparative study between the traineeship proposed by the Bolsa Alfabetização Program and the supervised traineeships of the Pedagogy course, some aspects which might favor the building of a more adequate connection between universities and public schools. Considering the prospect of knowing these aspects, we opted for analyzing the content of interviews. By studying all these proposed problems, the concept of traineeship in the Pedagogy course is discussed and elements to establish more efficient communication channels between the university and elementary education schools are pointed out.
