Abstract

This article aims to analyze the scientific production on the assessment of development and learning at this level of education. For this purpose, a bibliographic search was carried out in the Capes Theses and Dissertations Database. The results pointed to the relevance of the research findings for creating a corpus of reference addressing the theme at a national scale, mainly due to the small number of studies available. They also show the need for further research on the specificities of evaluation processes in very early childhood, since no thesis is dedicated to this age group and only three dissertations concern the assessment of early childhood learning and the daycare context.
