Abstract

The present article analyzes the implementation of the Nilo Peçanha Platform and its implications for the Federal Education Network. It takes into consideration the context of implementing policies of evaluation, monitoring and control, based on management indicators using measurable results only, which can become control mechanisms for the maintenance of a certain social order. This is a qualitative study with an exploratory, descriptive approach, articulated to a bibliographic and documentary study. The study indicates that evaluation systems can constitute, on the one hand, a mechanism of control and regulation and, on the other hand, an instrument of emancipation. This depends on the principles that guide the analysis and application of the results that will subsidize the new public educational policies.
