This article aims to analyze the results and insights of a bibliographical survey of academic articles about educational evaluation published in Brazil, from 1997 to 2018, in journals classified as A1, A2, B1 and B2 (Qualis Periodicals 2013-2016). It presents a brief overview of similar studies, details the methodological approach and explores initial findings, highlighting trends in the field such as an increasing number of articles from mid-2000s onward, especially those dealing with large-scale assessment systems mainly those discussing different aspects of educational evaluation, which indicates a consolidation of educational evaluation of this field of knowledge.
