This study presents the development of school infrastructure indicators based on microdata from the 2023 School Census, covering public elementary and secondary schools across the country. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was used to define a hierarchical model composed of six first-order latent factors, explained by a second-order factor, referred to as the School Physical Spaces Indicator. This model summarizes the presence of physical spaces and accessibility resources in educational units. The model showed satisfactory fit, and the results indicate significant disparities related to variables such as geographic region, location, and administrative dependency, underscoring the importance of adequate physical infrastructure in schools, as it constitutes an essential aspect for promoting educational equity and quality.
